One day, duller than most
He takes his tail off to the coast
For some California sun
All the other crocodiles say "see you in a while"....

But he's green and he’s mean and he's got his own style

The croc can't believe his crocodile eyes
He's in Californ-eye-ayw (“Ei-Ey”)

In a surf shack, he buys a board
The only one he can afford
Now he's ready for the waves
All the other surfing birds say "who's that mad reptile?"...

He's green and he's mean and he's wearing a smile
Cos now he's a surfing crocodile

And when that croc hits the flow
He rides those heavies like a pro
All the California kids say “whoa

Orange County, way out west
